A pair of modern Italian giltwood wall mirrors in Chinese Chippendale style, 160cm high, 79cm wide Provenance: Private collection removed from 9, Royal Crescent, BathCondition Report: As catalogued these are fairly modern in manufacture, they are stamped made in Italy to the rear boards - please see our website for images of the rear of these mirrorsThe surfaces have black speckling that appears to be a technique to simulate age and wear which these do not truly posses. There are some old chips and losses however which are genuine to some areas of the scrolled decoration - there are some sign of old glue. These elements appear to be missing in the catalogue and online images - they have never been present with Dreweatts.
