A pair of monumental carved limestone urns-and-covers, in Baroque taste, 20th century, each with a lobed finial above covers, the stop-fluted tapering bodies flanked by twin handles and a laurel leaf carved edge, waisted socles, and square section base; atop fluted square section plinths, 215cm high overallBidders from the UK and outside of the European Union should be aware that additional import charges may applyCondition Report: Each with marks, knocks, scratches, abrasions consistent with age and use. Also with the usual weathering and deposits to the surfaces from being stored and used outside. Some unevenness to the colour of the surface due to the this and the nature of the stone. Please see additional images for details These urns 'break down' into four main pieces plus these handles - the cover, the main body of the urn, the socle and foot, and the fluted pedestal Please note the flanking handles are easily removable for transport and should not be used to lift the vases or attempt to - they are purely ornamental.
