Barrel length 20 cm (8"), total length 34.5 cm (13.5"), weight 1.2 kg, built in 1975, without proof, condition 1. Two revolvers in a representative oak case. The weapons are the Colt 1860 Army model, which was introduced to the US Cavalry. Our examples have color-hardened loading presses, lock parts and housings, the grip is blued like the barrel. The trigger guard including the front handle bar is made of brass. The handle has smooth walnut handle scales. The cylinders are engraved with the classic Colt naval motifs from the 1851 Colt Navy, which were adopted by Colt for the army model. In addition, patent dates and the date of May 16, 1843 can be seen on the cylinders, which represents a milestone in the history of the Colt company. The cassette has an appropriately labeled brass plaque on the lid and can be locked (2 levers available, on Colt tag with caliber gauge). Accessories: A stock with the serial number of one of the weapons, bullet pliers, pistol lever, powder bottle and can for primer caps. The original packaging (Styrofoam with outer cardboard) is also available for both weapons. There is a Colt brochure and a page from a US weapons magazine that deals with these weapons. Attractive comprehensive set. Collector's weapons without (valid) proof, released for storage due to their art or collector's value.
