Barrel length 74 cm (29“), stock length 35.5 cm (14“), total length 114 cm (45“), choke full & full (F & F), weight 3.16 kg, built around 1927, German proof, restored condition 1-2. Barrels made of „Special rifle barrel steel - Krupp Essen“ rail and barrels engraved with „J. P. Sauer & Sohn, Suhl“, bead front sight and auxiliary front sight made of brass, wide concave matted rib, double barrel hook and Greener crossbolt, ejectors, reinforced Barrel flanks, side locks with cocking indicator, comprehensively engraved receiver, receiver and lock plates extensively engraved with a variety of arabesques, automatic slide tang safety, double trigger, trigger guard, lever and pusher dark blued, extended trigger guard with engraved serial number, the respective pair number „1 or 2“ inlaid in gold on the rail and on the lever, fine and matching grained walnut stock with fine checkering, forend with Anson release, straight buttstock with teardrop, blank monogram plate and blended butt plate with metal caps at the top and bottom. The number „2“ with identical dimensions - both now in caliber 12/70. Deviations only regarding the proof. The number „1“ with German proof, sleeved barrels, signed M. Frühauf for the German master gunsmith and Sauer expert. The number „2“ with old german and now newer Czech proof. A particularly beautifully restored pair. According to the previous owner, a couple separated for decades who were brought back together again by the collector. Condition and changes that had already begun on one of the shotguns ultimately led to a complete restoration of this pair - corresponding to the particularly outstanding condition. Delivered in a leather-covered wooden case for a pair of shotguns with a canvas cover. Inside is the manufacturer‘s label, 4 Sauer buffer cartridges, an oil bottle, a cleaning rod and tools.
