A pair of substantial French gilt-metal ten light wall appliques in Empire style, 20th century, the foliate cast sconces and scrolled arms supported by a maiden caryatid, issuing from cartouche backplates, approximately 125cmapproximately 125cm high, 48cm wide, 36cm protuberance Condition Report: Minor marks, knocks and scuffs overall consistent with age and use.These would have likely had pendants, which are not present with the lot.One maiden has a circa 2-3cm fine fissure across the neck.The gilding is very bright and may be quite recent.
