A pair of turned mahogany and brass mounted bottle coasters

[ translate ]

A pair of turned mahogany and brass mounted bottle coasters, 19th century, of cylindrical form and with reeded bodies, each 9cm high, 12cm diameter, together with a walnut and brass bound planter, probably Dutch, of coopered construction, cylindrical tapering form, and with removable liner, 23cm high, 23cm diameter

Condition Report:
Both coasters' top rims are loose and have some adhesive residue underneath. There is also some radial movement between the bodies and bottom rims, again with traces of residue (in one case). One of the coasters has three short horizontal chips to its ribbed body (each circa 0.5-1cm). Some discolourations overall. The bucket bears marks, knocks and scuffs overall consistent with age and use, and there are some patches of discolouration. One old split leading from the rim downwards has been filled, two or three more small sections have been replaced. There is some adhesive residue between the body and the bottom, and to the underside. There is a circa 2cm high chip to the interior rim, and discolouration inside behind the lead liner.
