A part built 3 inch scale model of a 3 ton Wallis & Steevens of Basingstoke, England 'Simplicity' live steam road roller, built by the late Mr Duncan Laidlaw of Bristol to the mid 1920's design by Plastow with diagonal mounted copper boiler, single cylinder 1 1/4 inch stroke by 1 inch bore, regulator, direction control via rod to work steering, drivers brake and fitted canopy. Length 89cm. Width 41cm. Height 56cm.* There were only twenty full size road rollers of this type ever built and there are six in preservation.
