- Tanzanite is a rich, deep purple hue, with good clarity, and a small amount of colour zoning, visible from the crown under magnification.
- When rotated from crown to pavilion, tanzanite has visible pleochroism, showing violet hues.
- Tanzanite is in good condition, with a few small nicks to the culet.
