A plaster architectural model of the entrance at Langley Park, after Stiff Leadbetter, by Timothy Richards, with maker's impressed mark to one side and label to rear, 25cm high, 16cm wide together with a companion pair of composite marble busts, after the antique, late 20th century, one after the Apollo Belvedere, 33cm high, the other a maiden, 35cm high (3)Langley Park, Buckinghamshire, was re-designed for the 3rd Duke of Marlborough in 1755 by the renowned architect Stiff Leadbetter (c.1705-1766). Presently it is owned by Buckinghamshire County Council and leased and run as an hotel. Condition Report: This is a decorative lot only - None of the items in this lot are genuine antiquities - the architectural model is probably only 20 years old as maximum, almost certainly manufactured in the 21st centuryThe composite marble is a paste formed of marble dust and resin - again this are as catalogued probably very late 20th century if not early 21st century there are some marks and scuffs but overall the condition of the lot as a whole reflects this,Condition Report Disclaimer
