Large enchanting cherub / angel carved from wood. Painted and gilded with gold leaf. Original version restored. Also known as a ‘edge sitter’ Sits upright on a cupboard or shelf. Wings and gold-plating have been redone. The frame is firm and the woodworm is no longer active. Tyrol / South Tyrol / Northern Italy original around 1700 Very good carving, to be seen on the hands and feet. The angel will be packed carefully and shipped insured.
