A post war composed dining suite designed by W.H. Russell for Gordon Russell Furniture, comprising a model R123 American black walnut extending rectangular dining table with single insert leaf, raised to chamfered legs, bearing manufacturer's paper label stating design number R123, date January 1963, materials American black walnut, cabinet maker H.M.P Robertson and designer W.H. Russell F.S.I.A, height 73cm, width 97cm and length 183cm (closed) and 246cm extended, two X.6409 carver chair and five X.6408 side chairs and a GR-A walnut sideboard fitted with an arrangement of three central drawers flanked by a cupboard at either side, stamped to the rear, height 86cm, width 141cm and depth 49cm.
