A pre-war Hornby No. 4 'Venture' clockwork Limousine Boat, manufactured by Meccano Ltd., Liverpool, circa 1935–39, of painted pressed-tinplate construction, green, cream and orange, fitted with its clockwork propulsion mechanism driving an external propeller shaft and three-bladed propeller, together with rudder assembly and deck fittings, approximately 450 mm long × 90 mm wide.* The No. 4 Venture was marketed by Hornby as its 'Limousine Boat', forming part of Meccano's celebrated range of British-made clockwork pond boats of the 1930s
