A rare 1840 model dragon trooper's helmet

dating: Second quarter of the 19th Century provenance: Sardinian Kingdom, Smooth, iron skull, brass crest, carved with floral motifs in bass-relief on sides, a lion's head in the front part, a medallion with crowned monogram 'CA' at the base; black fur with iron cross in the center, hemmed in brass, leather chin-strap, covered with scales, decorated in bass-relief, a turquoise cockade on the left side (supplied to the first four regiments of the Carlo Alberto era). Internal part in black leather. height 31 cm.
