A rare 22K gold Tillya Kosh Diadem, wedding tiara - Bukhara / Uzbekistan - Beginning of the 20th century
The 22K gold tiara is comprised of three main elements. The central ornament is in the form of two crowned birds kissing over a floral element. The ornament is inlaid with tourmaline, turquoise, and white rock crystal. Flanking the kissing bird element are two engraved wings, set with turquoise, tourmaline and a small emerald Below dangle pendants strung with pearls and set with turquoise stones. three gold hooks and chains are used for hanging on a traditional headdress.
