A rare Meissen domed cover, circa 1725-30
Finely painted with four chinoiserie scenes, each within a gilt quatrelobe scrollwork cartouche edged with iron-red scrollwork, with four sprigs of indianische Blumen within the gilt-edged rim, surmounted by a finial as a seated chinoiserie figure wearing a gilt conical hat; together with a two-handled tureen, probably late 19th/early 20th century, decorated in matching style, the handles with green foliage reserved against a gilt ground,
