A rare Samurai helmet "kabuto", Edo period (1603-1868) Japan. An original metal helmet decorated with copper and brass decorative details. The hair is white in color at the back, imitating the Yokai (Japanese demon), Yamanba (mountain hag). Blue fabric lining inside the helmet. An excellent item for collecting artifacts from the Samurai era. Width 29 cm.
