A rare William III oak and polychrome painted press cupboard, circa 1700, the cavetto moulded cornice above a painted panel door flanked by a painted panel on each side, the lower section with a pair of painted panel doors, all panels decorated with floral foliage, figures and animals, on shaped bracket feet, 197cm high, 134cm wide, 42cm deepCondition Report: Marks, scratches and abrasions comensurate with age and use. old splits and chips. some minor losses. some old repairs. The painted elements appear to be original. Lacking the lock to the upper door. The interior shelves to the upper section are all 20th century/ modern pine replacements, as are the screwed in brackets to the interior sides of the interior of the cupboard to support the shelves.
