A rare cased set of Meissen Hausmaler double-handled beakers and saucers, circa 1740-50
Decorated in Augsburg in finely tooled gilding over an underglaze-blue base of the Fels-und Vogel pattern, flowering shrubs and scattered insects to the reverse of the beakers, in a fitted oval case base, the beakers: 6.6cm high; the saucers: 13.1cm diam., crossed swords marks in blue, dots and various letter in underglaze-blue, impressed numerals (one saucer restored) (13)
