of oval form rising from a flat base, the cover decorated in gold foil with a central double xi character between butterflies and floral sprays and enclosed by a rope twist band, all depicted on a bright green ground executed in basse taille technique, bordered a band of facetted red glass stones, the sides finely incised and gilt with panels of leafy florettes on a dense ground, the base and interior richly gilt

Condition Report:
Overall good condition. There is very light wear to the enamels and the gilding and small losses to the lead on the mirror inside the cover.
