A rare flintlock carbine with bayonet
dating: first quarter of the 19th Century provenance: Italy, Round, smooth-bore, 18 mm cal. barrel, with clutch for a bayonet, remains of two marks at the base, one unreadable, the other with letters 'BP'. Interesting lock signed 'Pietro Beretta' and 'BRESCIA', stamp 'PB', brass pan. Wooden, three-quarters stock. Iron mounts with remains of stamps. Iron ramrod. Socket bayonet (length 47 cm). Rare gun on the type of Mod. 1814 carbine, Piedmontese for Carabinieri, but of Brescian production. length gun 114 cm.
