A rare gilt-bronze inscribed figure of Lha Jegar Tönpa
Tibet, 17th century
Seated in dhyanasana on a double-lotus pedestal, the figure wearing voluminous patchwork robes cascading in numerous pleats, his left hand resting on his legs with the palm facing upward, his right hand over his right leg touching the lotus throne in bhumisparsa mudra, Tibetan inscription on the front of the base. 10.5cm (4 1/8in) high.
