A rare hexagonal archaistic bronze jardinière
Qing dynasty, 17th-18th century, Ming Shan Tang mark

with a bulbous body and a flat everted hexagonal rim, supported on six ruyi feet, cast around the exterior with shaped panels enclosing confronted archaistic phoenix and angular scrolls at each end, the base cast with a four character Ming Shan Tang zhi mark
26.5 x 73 x 40 cm, 10⅜ by 28¾ by 15¾ in.

Condition Report:
Old repair in the cast to edge of one of the shorter side of the hexagonal rim, and two small holes to one of the smaller sides, which have been filled in with copper. Some malachite oxydization to the base. The lining sheet on the interior at the bottom is sealed around with an old plaster as visible on the condition photos.
