Mark and period of Zhengde
明正德 黃釉盤 《大明正德年製》款
with shallow rounded sides rising to a gently flared rim, covered overall with a mustard-yellow glaze, the base with a six-character mark within a double circle
Diameter 20.8 cm, 8 3/8 in.

One ca. 5 cm long hairline cracks to the rim and extending into the well. Examination under the UV light reveals the exterior rim has been sprayed to a depth of ca. 2.5cm. Overall wear to the glaze to the interior of the dish and very minor areas of loss to the yellow enamel.
