A restored La Tène III grey ware pottery urn, eight bronze and silver Celtic and Roman artefacts and other items
The bulbous body of the urn tapering to a narrow base, with rolled rim and incised diagonal stripes around the shoulder, circa 1st Century B.C., 18cm high and eight bronze and silver Celtic and Roman artefacts including a toggle with baluster shaped terminals, 3.2cm wide; a bronze terret, 4.1cm wide; a small polished bronze mortar with loop for suspension, 4.5cm, a circular seal box with hinged lid, blue enamel central knop and perforated base, 2.5cm max diam; a lozenge-shaped seal box lid, 5cm long, much of the blue and red colour added later; a rectangular plate with lunate ends, the central panel with three crosses, two rivets at the back for attachment, enamel missing; 4.1cm wide; a small silver crescentic amulet with swollen terminals, suspension loop missing, 1.9cm wide, and a bronze medical probe, 12.9cm long, circa 1st Century B.C. – 2nd Century A.D.
