A reverse glass painting 'Adoration of the Magi'

An early façon de Venise reverse painted glass plate with gold leaf elements, made in Hall-in-Tyrol or Innsbruck. An old label on the back indicates that this piece once belonged to the Collection of Prof. dr. W. Mengelberg and also carries an old Mak van Waay auction label on the back.
The glass plate: 26,5 x 21 cm (including frame): 34 x 29 cm
Provenance: Former collection Mengelberg, sold 28-03-1952 at Mak van Waay auctioneers in Amsterdam (Mak van Waay was taken over by Sotheby's in 1974).
