A ruby and split pearl hinged bangle. Designed as a circular-shape ruby and split pearl floral cluster, with similarly-set foliate sides, atop the openwork bangle. Inner diameter 6cms. Weight 12.5gms.
Condition Report: Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
Appears to have been adapted from a different item of jewellery.
Some sections of the bangle appear slightly out of shape.
Some replacement gems.
Appears to be one imitation pearl to the central floral cluster and two to one of the foliate cluster sides.
One replacement red gem to the end of one of the foliate clusters.
Rubies are a fairly well matched medium pinkish red hue, fairly well saturated, with good clarity and typical inclusions.
Rubies in good condition with minor abrasions.
Red gem to the foliate cluster with some small chips.
Split pearls are a creamy white colour, with rose and greenish overtones.
Split pearls generally in good condition with minor abrasions, some with moderate nacre damage.
Width (at widest) 1.3cms.
