A sapphire and diamond brooch.

Designed as a flower, set with circular-shape sapphires and old-cut diamonds, total diamond weight approx. 0.90ct, length 5.5cm.
Condition Report: Gross weight approx. 19g. Overall good condition. Surface scratches and discolouration in line with use and age. Sapphires in good condition with some abrasions and nibbles to table and facet edges visible under 10x loupe. Sapphires well matched, good saturation, good clarity and typical inclusions visible under 10x loupe. Diamonds bright and lively. Some diamonds with nibbles/ chips to facets edges visible under 10x loupe. Calculated diamond weight approximate, weighed in mount, weight may differ. Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. Metal unmarked. Brooch electronically tests as 18ct gold, tested using a Thermo Scientific Nitron Handheld XRF Analyser to test metals. This technology is limited to examining metal to a specific depth. Tate Ward do not guarantee the standard of gold or platinum unless an item is hallmarked. Results from electronically tested items should only be used as a guide and with caution, as false readings are possible.
