A scroll design diamond hinged bangle, c.1890

A scroll design diamond hinged bangle, c.1890, decorated with scrolling leaves and buds set with graduating rose cut, Swiss cut and old European diamonds in silver collets, one collet vacant, to bifurcated knife edge shoulders tapering down the lower half, with a concealed clasp and safety chain. Hoop tested as approximately 14ct gold. Inner diameter 55mm, 14.64g Condition Report: Combined diamond weight 1.70 -2.00ct Diamonds are bright and lively, with an overall sparkly look. One diamond missing from the setting. A few claws need re-tipping, and there is evidence of previous repair at the lower half, with a replacement section of the base.
