The fragment 32cm high, 15cm wide, 11cm deep; the overall dimensions 37cm high, 29.5cm wide, 17cm deep
And a fragmentary sculpted limestone head of a king, 13th century, issuing from an integral flat backing
28cm high, 18cm wide, 15cm deep

Previously in the collection of the late Professor Charles Reginald Dodwell, Pilkington Professor of History of Art and Director of Whitworth Gallery, Manchester University 1966-89; and thence by descent
The second item in the lot was, by family repute, given to Professor Dodwell during renovation work to the West Front at Wells Cathedral, Somerset
