A seated ruler and attendants, Mewar, Punjab, India, circa 1900, opaque pigments heightened with gold and silver on paper, the ruler shown haloed and facing left, kneeling against a large bolster cushion and with a yellow carpet with lattice design at his feet, two attendants behind, identifying inscription in Davanagari script above, mounted, glazed and framed, painting 26.8 x 20.5cm; together with two scenes of a princess on a terrace, Rajasthan, India, early 20th century, opaque pigments on paper heightened with gilt, the first with the princess haloed and being entertained by female musicians; the second the princess received a royal visitor overlooking a lake with lily pads, both mounted, glazed and matching frames, 25 x 17.5cm.
