A selection of sauce ladles, to include a pair of George III Old English pattern ladles, with engraved crest of a stag pierced with an arrow, hallmarked Peter & Ann Bateman, London 1795, length 6.75" (17.5cm). Together with a similar William IV example, with shell motif to terminal and reverse of bowl, hallmarked William Eaton, London 1832, a further Fiddle pattern ladle, hallmarked Joseph & Albert Savory, London 1838, and a final Old English pattern example, London 1805. Approximate total silver weight 9.9 ozt (307.4 grams).
Condition Report:
- In general good condition, displaying surface wear, marks and scratching commensurate with the age and use.
- One ladle with some heavier dints to bowl.
- Some pieces with areas of tarnishing that would benefit from a clean and polish.
