A selection of mainly Georgian Irish silver flatware comprising a pair of George III table spoons and three dessert spoons, in Old English pattern with crested terminals, hallmarked Michael Keating, Dublin 1762 or 1786, a similar George III table spoon, marks partly squashed, probably John Dalrymple, and a selection of Fiddle pattern spoons to include a pair of teaspoons, hallmarked Samuel Neville, Dublin 1825, a shovel salt spoon, a mustard spoon, a further teaspoon and two dessert spoons, plus a dessert fork, various dates and maker's marks. Weight 13.67 ozt (425 grams). (14).
Condition Report:
- Multiple item lot in mixed and used condition, all pieces displaying general expected surface wear, tarnishing, marks and scratches commensurate with their age and use.
- Heavier damage to some pieces including a split to one teaspoon bowl.
- Uneven surface and bumps to some of the other bowls with heavier wear around edges and tips.
- Bowls of the three table spoons have generally faired quite well.
- Hallmarks mostly legible. Most with engraved crests, many with the same unicorn crest.
