A set of four French silver pepper pots or small casters, each of cylindrical form and engraved with floral and foliate swags, within raised trailing leaf borders, with screw thread pierced lid and a further cover over with similar engraved decoration. Minerva guarantee mark for 950 standard, two with partial maker's marks, possibly Henri Gauthier (Paris 1902-20). Gross weight 12.36 ozt (384.4 grams).

Condition Report:
- All displaying some surface wear, marks, scratches and tarnishing commensurate with the age and general use.
- A few little gouges or file marks around the main rims. And the rim of one pepper has a slight knock on one side.
- All screw thread lids appear in good working order and their covers also seem a good fit.
- Possible repairs around some finials.
- Bright gilding to interiors.
- A few minor knocks and dints around the base rims.
- Surface wear and rubbing to areas of the decoration with some loss of detail.
- Minerva mark struck to all pieces, some partly rubbed or distorted.
- Only two appear to have partial maker's mark to base.
