A set of four George III silver entrée dishes and covers, on old Sheffield plated warming stands,

by William Fountain, London 1814,

rectangular form, gadroon borders, the pull-off covers with detachable leaf capped scroll handles, numbered 1-4, the bases inscribed 'The Gift of Mr and Mrs. Woodman being a Legacy Bequeathed to William Fowle Esq. Their Nephew, 1813', the covers with two armorials, the warming stands of rectangular form, turned wooden side handles, on four bun feet with wooden pads, in a fitted wooden travelling case, length of entrée dish 28.5cm, length of warming stand 37cm, approx. weighable 199oz. (4)

The arms are that of Fowle impaling Everett, possibly for William Fowle who married Harriet Everard on 15th June 1799 at St. Giles in the Fields (London).
