A set of four early twentieth century silver mounted candlesticks, each with circular weighted base rising to a tapered column and vase shape socket with removable nozzle, with fluted decoration throughout and gadroon style border detail. Hallmarked Garrard & Co Ltd (Sebastian Henry Garrard), London 1916. Height measuring 12 inches (30.5 cm).
Condition Report: All candlesticks displaying some tarnishing and general surface wear, marks and scratches commensurate with age and use. Some little dints and bumps and heavier wear around the base rims and to base plates. One candlestick with many visible solder repairs, along the join of the base rim to base plate, below the lower knop and around the bottom of the tapered column. Another stick with possible repairs around the bottom of the stem. All nozzles appear in good condition and are a good fit. Rubbing to some hallmarks but all still legible, matching hallmarks to nozzles. Two with green baize base lining and two without.
