A set of six late Victorian silver table forks, in Lily pattern with monogram engraving, hallmarked Francis Higgins III, London 1882. Together with a further Victorian set of four silver table forks, each with scroll and leaf detail to terminal and engraved horn of plenty crest, hallmarked John Hunt & Robert Roskell, London 1871. Weight 31.13 ozt (968.4 grams). (10).
Condition Report:
- All appear in fairly good overall condition, displaying general expected surface wear and tarnishing and some surface marks and scratches, commensurate with their age and use.
- Of fairly heavy gauge.
- Some heavier wear and scratches to tines but they have generally faired well and are mainly of even length.
- Hallmarks mostly clear and legible. The maker's mark on the set of four forks are quite squashed.
