A set of twenty two mahogany dining chairs, in George III style, 19th century, to include two armchairs, each shaped top rail above a pierced vase shaped splat, the padded and dished seat on rectangular tapering legs joined by a H-shaped stretcher, each 95cm high, 50cm wide, 50cm deep

Condition Report:
Marks, scratches and abrasions commensurate with age and use Some old chips and splits commensurate with age and use. No obvious visible breaks to the legs Some fading. Some additional scratching in areas and some additional old wear in areas. Much of this could be significantly improved by relatively low maintenance treatment by a restorer. The chairs are generally of solid structure but joints to some chairs need tightening/ re-gluing. A small number of the chairs with additional fragments of loss. One chair with a small spliced section at the base of the foot (could be polished in to match. Some staining and wear to upholstery. Some wear has worn through the upholstery at outer corners. Some with fraying at the edges. A small number of the seats have tears to the fabric. One chair has a noticeable hole in the fabric towards one front corner of the seat.
