A silver goblet or chalice.

A silver goblet or chalice, the circular bowl with moulded rim above a raised band of laurel leaves against a stippled ground, and a wide acanthus leaf border to the lower section, raised on a knopped stem to a spread circular base further embellished with a stiff leaf border. Hallmarked to the underside of the foot London 1792, no visible maker's mark. Height measuring 8 1/2 inches (21.5 cm), weight 16 ozt (498.8. grams). The goblet displays some general tarnishing and some surface wear, marks and scratches. Also minor surface nicks visible to some parts, to the interior of the bowl and also around the rim. The rim also displays a few little holes or cracks, possibly along seam of applied rim? There is a very slight impression of the join of the stem to main body, visible to the interior. Likely repairs to joins and seams of knopped stem and foot. Evidence of repairs around join of the spread foot. Hallmarks are located to the underside of this foot. No visible maker's mark.
