A Cambodian silvered metal figure of Buddha Shakyamuni, he is seated in dhyanasana on a multi-layered throne, dressed in a simple robe, with right hand on his leg, the left resting in meditative pose in his lap, the hair finely cast with small curls. Back with Khmer inscription dated 1938. Filled bottom. Weight 1600 g. H. 20.5 cm.
