the slender enamel vase of ovoid body and tall neck with everted rim, copper gilt mounts, decorated in various coloured enamels and worked in thicknesses of silver wire, with sparrows among chrysanthemums, irises and wisteria overhanging on a deep blue ground, the neck with bands of floral diaper, ivy and karakusa, hanabishi and lappets
