A small Indian sandstone stele of Vishnu. 11th century
Standing in sampada on a small base, holding chakra, gada and shanka and wearing a dhoti adorned with jewellery and draped with floral garland, flanked by anthropomorphised figures of his attributes, the chakra, called Sundarshana, and the conch, Shankha, and two smaller deities at either side, at the top of the torana pillars are seated on the right the figure of Brahma, and Shiva on the left.
