A small Qajar Quran , Iran, 19th century, 234ff., Arabic manuscript on paper, 18ll. of small black naskh within gold rule per page, gold roundel verse markers, headers in red and black, opening and closing bifolio with gold and polychrome floral decoration, with later inscription recording the birth of a child on 4 Rabi’ II AH 1350/20 July 1931 in Khorasan, in black lacquer papier mache binding with floral decoration and inscription border in yellow naskh either side, within brown leather carrying case, folio 11 x 6.8cm. Provenance: Acquired during the 1960’s - 1970’s in Iran In the UK since 1981
