2 Large size Georgian period "Strass" crystal set in metal buttons.
These two examples from the late 18th century are set in fine mountings and the paste type jewels known as Strass are brilliant and in great condition. Strass was named for the man who created this crystal jewel to look like diamonds and sparkle in the candlelight, his name was Frederick Strasser.
