A small photograph frame, probably Chinese or Japanese.

A small photograph frame, probably Chinese or Japanese, the rectangular form with bamboo edge enclosing an ornately pierced border of chrysanthemum flowers and inner beaded rim, with wire easel-back support. Marked only to easel with two character marks. Measuring 6" (15.2cm) by 4.5" (11.5cm).

Condition Report:
- Displaying general surface scratches, marks and wear and heavy tarnishing throughout. In need of a clean.
- Some heavier wear and knocks around the edges, with some small splits/cracks, mainly seen at the corners.
- Hinge pin protruding on one end but easel stand is firm and supports frame.
- Blobs of solder seen all the way around the join of the back section to the pierced frame.
- Marked only to the easel stand. Other parts tested and results range from 84% to 88% Ag. Fellows uses a Thermo Scientific Nitron Handheld XRF Analyser to test metals. This technology is limited to examining metal to a depth of approximately 8 microns. Fellows does not guarantee the standard of silver unless an item is hallmarked. Results from electronically tested items should only be used as a guide and with caution, as false readings are possible.
