A spinach-green jade rhyton and cover
Qing dynasty, 18th/19th century
the deep flattened U-shaped body issuing from the Makara head, the body swept up the side of the vessel forming the handle, carved in high relief around the exterior with four chilong reserved on a scroll ground, the domed cover surmounted by a chilong finial, the stone a dark olive-green tone suffused with dark green flecks

Condition Report:
There is a tiny chip to the leg of the chilong clambering up to the rim of the rhyton.
