A stunning Egyptian painted cartonnage funerary mask, Late Period, c. 664 - 332 BC, the face in fine style with deep red skin tone and black detailing to eyes and brow. The feathered headdress parts at a solar disk on the forehead, the feathers stylized into triangles and lines in green, blue, white and yellow-orange pigments. 12 1/5 x 9 5/8 in (31.6 x 24.4 cm). A very handsome example with some stabilization around the edges and display stand. Ex North Carolina private collection.
