Condition Report:
General light surface wear and expected firing imperfections, including a small ca. 1.1 cm recessed area to the body.
Three of the four dragons' ears are partially restored, as well as the curl and attached element on top of one the two handles.

器面見輕微磨痕、正常窰燒瑕疵,如器身一處凹痕,約1.1公分。三龍角、雙耳頂端卷飾局部經修。

See a related amphora in the collection of the British Museum, London, accession number 1930,0719.52 and another example in the Idemitsu Collection, illustrated in Chinese Ceramics in the Idemitsu Collection, Tokyo, 1987, pl.330. Compare also an example sold at Christie's New York, 24th March 2011, lot 1111, from the Gordon collection.
