dating: Late 19th Century provenance: Japan, Nagasa (31.5 cm) with well visible hamon and hada. Blackened, copper habaki. Nakago-mumei with one mekugi-ana. Tsuba, fuchi, kashira and menuki in silver, decorated with insects, foliage and figures (menuki). Wooden saya, lacquered in black with ko-katana, silver, engraved kozuka. length 46.5 cm.
