Length of the blade 25.6 cm, hira-zukuri, suguha hamon with tobiyaki, good state of polish. Nakago: suriage, one mekugi-ana, mei: Bishû Osafune ju Nori... Probably 16th century. Gold-plated habaki. Koshirae: iron hamidashi-tsuba with gomuko-zôgan, shakudô-nanako fuchi-kashira with birds and reeds in relief, gilt border, shakudô and gold menuki with bird on a basket, copper kozuka with yasurime surface and inlays of shakudô and silver, and with iron blade. Black binding over same. Saya: same-nuri. 19th century.
