A trooper cavalry's helmet, Umberto I epoch

Condition: good
Polished iron skull, with a stamped brass crest bearing on its frontal band the "U" monogram for Umberto I. Turban covered in Phoca vitulina fur (a later replacement), with regulation chin-straps. Flat iron cross and rigid tricolour cockade. Interior retaining brown leather visors and a segmented leather liner.
